Up-Coming "Dance for Joy" Events

March 29 — KGB comes to Sonny's
KGB will plays Waltzes with some Swing/Foxtrots, Blues, Tangos, Schottisches and Hambos. Their beautiful waltzes are legendary across the country including the music for the Cross-step Waltz Mixer "The Clock Stopped." This will be a heavenly evening of music and dance. Sonny Newman's Dance Hall, 201 N. 85th St, Seattle. Sponsored by Dance For Joy!

2007
November 25 — The Groove Get Down Zydeco, taught by Lilli Ann and Joanie with Dance for Joy and NW Dance Network
November 16, 17 and 18 — Joan Walton Weekend in Portland, co-sponsored by Portland's Waltz Eclectic and Dance for Joy!
Sunday, November 11 — Cross-step Waltz taught by Lilli Ann and Jamie Shamseldin, in cooperation with NW Dance Network
Sunday, October 21 — An Evening In Vienna 2007 at the University of Washington East Hub Ballroom. Over 250 dancers having a great time waltzing the night away. If you don't want to miss next year's Ball, click here for our mailing list!
March 17 — Zydeco instruction in Portland with Lilli Ann and California instructor A.J. Gibbs in a day long workshop with Cascade Zydeco.

2006
Sunday, October 22 — An Evening in Vienna 2006 at the University of Washington. A smashing success! You can see photos from the Waltz Ball here.
September 16 & 17, 2006 — David and Lilli Ann teaches Latin Waltz in Atlanta for the Atlanta Waltzing Society
Friday/Saturday, August 11-12 — Lilli Ann performs as one of six with Latin Vals Women at the Century Ballroom for Michelle Badion's Tango Cabaret
Saturday, July 1 — Lilli Ann Performs Zydeco at Portland's Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival

Blues — “Wonderful moves! I can’t wait to use them!”
Zydeco — “I really enjoyed the Creole Movement class. It’s time I stopped dancing Zydeco like a white girl! This will help.”
Instruction — “Terrific! Very well demonstrated, like it’s broken down into tiny steps when appropriate. Well-lead, light touch (i.e. patient with us) appreciated. Content just enough without overloading us. Good mix of moves, straight line and turning variations.”

October 12 — Lilli Ann and Linda Townsend teach Turning Waltz at the Portland Waltz Brunch at the Viscount Ballroom.
September 13 — Lilli Ann and James Mershon teach Intermediate/Advanced breakout sessions at Cascade Zydeco Dance Camp outside Eugene, Oregon.
September 7 — Lilli Ann and James Mershon perform with the Zydeco Krewe at the Puyallup Fair.
August 24 — Lilli Ann leads a Zydeco lesson at Ralph and Deb Koshe’s wedding dance.
July 5 — Lilli Ann and James Mershon perform at Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival
June 27-28th Lilli Ann and Linda Townsend teach a Zydeco workshop at Island Fitness on Bainbridge Island.
June 19-21 — Lilli Ann, Linda Townsend, and Dana Mandell teach at Washington DC’s Buffalo Jambalaya — a Zydeco and Cajun dance camp held in West Virginia
June 7 — Lilli Ann and Linda Townsend teach at The Lykes to Dance “Romp in the Swamp” dance camp
May 1 — Lilli Ann goes to Lafayette to pick up new Zydeco moves and styling
April 13 — Lilli Ann and Dana Mandell teach the Zydeco portion of a “Day of Workshops” sponsored by the CFLFM at Ashkanaz in Berkeley, CA.
March 16 — Lilli Ann and Linda Townsend teach Waltz Variations at the Portland Waltz Eclectic Sunday brunch dance.
March 1 — Linda performs with the Savoy Swing Club Performance Troupe at the Century Ballroom.
